ICE Houston Arrests 735 Criminal Illegal Aliens in May Including Murderers and Child Predators

ICE officers in Houston arrested 735 criminal illegal aliens last month with nearly 1,200 violent crime convictions, including murderers, child predators, and foreign fugitives.

ICE Houston Arrests 735 Criminal Illegal Aliens in May Including Murderers and Child Predators

ICE Houston officers arrested 735 criminal illegal aliens in May alone, individuals who collectively accounted for over 1,700 criminal convictions, according to exclusive data obtained by Breitbart News from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Nearly 1,200 of those convictions involved violent crimes or direct threats to public safety. The arrested individuals included murderers, child predators, drug traffickers, gang members, and foreign fugitives wanted for serious crimes in their home countries.

Child Predators and Murderers Among Those Arrested

The May operation reflects ICE's intensified focus on removing the most dangerous criminal aliens from American communities. Among those taken into custody were multiple individuals convicted of child sex offenses, representing some of the most serious threats to vulnerable populations.

ICE Houston has maintained an aggressive operational tempo throughout 2026. In April alone, officers arrested 277 criminal illegal aliens over a two-week period. That group included 17 child predators, six murderers, 16 drug traffickers, 15 gang members or associates, 67 robbers, and two foreign fugitives wanted for murder abroad.

Trump Administration Prioritizes Dangerous Criminals

The arrest figures underscore the Trump administration's commitment to prioritizing the removal of criminal illegal aliens. Department of Homeland Security officials have repeatedly emphasized that ICE is targeting "the worst of the worst" rather than conducting random enforcement actions.

Earlier in 2026, ICE Houston announced the arrest of over 400 criminal illegal aliens convicted specifically of child sex offenses. That group alone accounted for 761 child sex offenses and 525 additional criminal offenses ranging from homicide to robbery.

Long-Term Fugitives Captured in Houston

ICE enforcement has also targeted criminal aliens who have evaded removal for years or even decades. In May, officers arrested Dinh Quy Nguyen, a Vietnamese national who had remained free in the Houston community for over 15 years despite having a final order of removal and prior convictions for attempted capital murder of a police officer and burglary.

The Nguyen case illustrates how criminal aliens can slip through the cracks of the immigration system, living freely while posing ongoing threats to public safety. The Trump administration has worked to close these gaps through enhanced cooperation between ICE and local law enforcement.

ICE officials say the Houston area remains a priority for enforcement operations due to its proximity to the Texas-Mexico border and large immigrant population. The agency has pledged to continue aggressive enforcement actions throughout 2026 as part of the administration's broader border security strategy.
